Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage Lupley uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. Version 2026-08-19.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Lupley also uses local storage and session storage, which work similarly but keep the data in your browser rather than sending it with every request. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these technologies.

2. Essential cookies and storage

These are required for Lupley to work. Without them you cannot sign in or use the dashboard, so they cannot be turned off inside the product.

  • Authentication and session storage that keeps you signed in and refreshes your session, so you are not asked for your password on every page.
  • Security tokens used to protect requests against forgery and abuse.
  • Short-lived storage that carries state through a flow, such as a pending workspace invitation while you sign in or create an account.
  • Load balancing and infrastructure cookies set by our hosting providers so requests reach a working server.

3. Preference storage

These remember choices you make so the interface behaves the way you left it. They are not required for the service to function.

  • Light or dark theme selection.
  • Whether the dashboard sidebar is collapsed or expanded.
  • Minor interface state such as the last filter or tab you used.

4. Analytics

Lupley does not currently run third party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do keep server-side operational and error logs, which are described in the Privacy Policy. If we introduce analytics cookies in future, we will update this policy first and, where consent is required, ask for it before setting them.

5. Third party cookies

Some cookies are set by providers we rely on rather than by Lupley directly.

  • Google, when you choose Google sign-in, which handles the sign-in itself.
  • Our managed authentication and database provider, which issues and refreshes your session.
  • Our payment provider, if you purchase a paid plan, which secures the checkout.
  • Our hosting and content delivery provider, for routing and protection.

Those providers use the cookies they set according to their own policies.

6. Public pages

Public feedback boards, roadmaps and newsletter pages use the minimum storage needed to display the page and submit a form. If a company embeds a Lupley page in its own site, that site may set its own cookies, which are controlled by that company and not by Lupley.

7. How long cookies last

Session cookies and session storage are cleared when you close the browser or sign out. Authentication storage lasts until your session expires or you sign out. Preference storage stays until you change the setting or clear your browser data.

8. How to control cookies

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings, and most browsers let you do this per site. You can also change theme and sidebar preferences inside Lupley at any time. Blocking essential cookies for Lupley will sign you out and prevent the dashboard from working. Clearing browser data removes your preferences as well.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. The last updated date and version appear at the top of this page.
